International Yoga Studies Associations Regulations
 



Chapter One
Name and Purpose


No.1 Name
English Name£ºINTERNATIONAL YOGA STUDIES ASSOCIATION ( Hereafter ¡°The Association¡±)
No.2 The Association is a non-profit, non-political international yoga educational organization.
No.3 The purpose of the Association is to provide the highest quality Yoga instruction and educational resources to anyone who is interested in Yoga, exchange the knowledge and techniques of yoga practices among different international yoga associations, to promote high standards of yoga instruction through teacher training and certification ,to protect the membership right and to promote the health lifestyle to the public society.


 

 
Chapter Two
Membership

No.1 After being evaluated by the Association, the membership can be granted to both group unit who has at least 10 members or students and individual members who have already had some basic knowledge of yoga and strong interest in Yoga.
No.2 Members of the Association have the election right.
No.3 By law, the members must obey the association rules and regulations and pay for membership fee in timely manner.

 
Chapter Three
Organization Structure

No.1 The Association is composed by Members Committee, Executive Committee and Advisory Board
No.2 The Association Members Committee is the highest representatives of the association.
No.3 To provide the high quality training and studies of Yoga, the Members Committee should coordinate and establish different special management committees, functional committees and regional organizations

No.4 All the regional organizations, functional committees and special management committees must be approved by the Association with legal documents filed.

 

Chapter Four
Members Committee

No.1 The Members Committee is the highest representative of the Association
No.2 The Members Committee is composed by Chairman, Vice Chairman and other 7 Council members.
No.3 Committee term is four years. Committee Members may be re-elected twice. Chairman and vice chairman may be re-elected once
No.4 If the chairman of members committee is resigned, the new chairman should be elected within one month and should be approved to Association with written documents.

 
Chapter Five
Executive Committee

No.1 Executive Committee is established under the Members Committee, Executive Committee is to coordinate with the Members Committee and responsible for daily operation of the Association
No.2 The Executive Committee is composed by the President, Vice President, the Financial Secretary and the Secretary-General etc.


 
Chapter Six
Advisory Board

No.1 Advisory Board is to assist the association to provide constructive suggestions to the Association, explore the different channels of YOGA studies and provide various academic assistance
No.2 The Number of members in the Advisory Board is not fixed which are supposed to be composed by experienced well-known Yoga professionals in the industry.
No.3 Advisory Board members should be referred by members of the Association and shall be approved by the Executive Committee and the Chairman of Association.


 
Chapter Seven
Election

No.1 Members Committee candidates shall be recommended by members of units or be recommended by himself/herself. Each member unit or organization can only elect one candidate
No.2 Members Committee candidates must be a member of management team or representative in the organization. The candidate applications should be submitted to the Preparatory Committee 15 days before the Members Committee conference is held.
No.3 The method of election is to vote by the members, Members may allow to appoint his/her representative to participate in the election, but the representative must be the member of the association.
No.4 Financial Secretary and Secretary-General of the Members Committee will be appointed by the Chairman of the Association.
No.5 All elections¡¯ final result goes for majority vote

 
Chapter Eight
The function of Members Committee and Executive Committee

No.1 The president of the Executive Committee is responsible for the activities and events of the Association.
No.2 Vice president is to assist the president to promote all the events and activities of the Association, who is also the representative of the president if president is not available.
No.3 The management team of the Members Committee is in charge of the finance, academic, public relation and organization of the Association.
No.4 Supervised by Chairman and CFO, financial secretary is responsible for the assets and daily financial activities
No.5 Every Committee member has the right to deny non-academic activities of the Association.
No.6 General-Secretary is responsible for daily administrative activities

 

Chapter Nine
Divisions of the Association


No.1 Each regional registered yoga division of the Association is the local organization, the local committee will be responsible for its daily operation. All the events and activities should be reported to the Association to record.
No.2 All the local divisions of the Association should obey the local laws and regulations. All the daily operations and events should be legal and approved by the local government and laws. Each division is independently and fully responsible for all the activities and events held by themselves.

 

Chapter Ten
Operation Fees

All the operation fees of the Association are from
1¡¢Membership fee£»
2¡¢Donation;
3¡¢Yoga educational and consulting fee£»
4¡¢Other fees.

Appendix


No.1 To amend the regulations and implement the revised regulations require at least 2/3 approval of the members of the Committee
No.2 The Association reserves all the right to explain this regulations.
No.3 To terminate the regulations requires The Executive Committee to file the applications and need to be voted and approved by 2/3 members of the Committee
No.4 The registration Address of the Association is in U.S.A
No.5 The regulation is effective after the approval by the Members Committee.
